Loosestrife grows to be roughly a foot tall. I think it is white liatris which I have in my yard. It grows taller with a larger flower spike than loosestrife. Liatris is about two feet tall. If it is person sized then it might be a white butterfly bush. Google images of the three plants so you can get a better idea of what each one looks like.Baffledhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16763003920036754454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024778820738888976.post-31038752305886795402011-08-07T10:55:46.773-05:002011-08-07T10:55:46.773-05:00The ones you call cone flowers, I've always kn...The ones you call cone flowers, I've always known as echinacea. My mother used to grow them, always away from others so they would be pure. The roots can be dried and used as an immune system booster. My mother was a naturalist, we were rarely ever on antibiotics or the such.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024778820738888976.post-41069999771986500612011-08-07T10:51:44.166-05:002011-08-07T10:51:44.166-05:00So glad I found your blog through BlogHer!!! We finally got them all figured out!

I think you've got them pretty much all right. our phlox in michigan don't grow on tall stocks like #2, but the flower itself does look like a phlox, so that's probably right!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4024778820738888976.post-32865184118507026812011-08-07T10:45:56.290-05:002011-08-07T10:45:56.290-05:00Everybody beat me to the punch.
