Tornado

hi blog friends we have just been hit by a tornado. we are all okay seems like all of our neighbors were safe. there is a tree through our roof and into our guest room.  just about every 100 year old tree is down it is nearly impossible to get in or out of our neighborhood . i might not be blogging  for a while since we are with out power...this is from my phone. i am so happy we are safe it  is just heartbreaking to see our home and beautiful neighborhood  in pieces. i will post a blog as soon as i can. our thoughts and prayers go out to all the families in minneapolis that were affected. my stomach is in knots.

  9. Carla, I am so sorry to hear that. When a tornado came through our neighborhood and a tree fell through our garage, it was devastating, and although it's hard to see, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Insurance gave us enough money to build a new better garage and money left over to renovate the kitchen. I wish I was there with you to help!

  10. If you haven't gathered this from my FB comments and message, I have been thinking of you, Alex (Rocco and Sadie too), and everyone else affected by this tragedy. It's so hard to sit back and not be able to do anything. Be sure to keep us in the loop if you find out what we as a community can do to help. Blogger buddy HUGS!

  14. So sorry to hear your news, how terrifying! I am glad you are all ok though. I am still living through the after effects of our province in New Zealand being hit by two large earthquakes, Sept 2010 and Feb 2011, and I know how frightening it is to have your whole view of the world changed in an instant...no possibility of any sort of bad thing happening seems too dramatic anymore, sadly...it seems like it could really happen, because sometimes it does :(

    Take care
    xx Karen

  18. I haven't commented in awhile nor have I been to your blog lately (my bad!!). If you remember, I found your blog awhile back and I am from NOMI too but live in Alabama now. I immediately thought of you when I heard the devastating news because I remembered you were in that area. I am so sorry to hear about your beautiful home. Thank goodness your family is okay. Praying for you all and that the clean-up goes as smoothly as possible.
